Discover Our Expertise
Agrosynthiq supports farmers using satellite technology, climate intelligence, and personalized advisory services. Our system is designed to work for small scale, commercial, and project based farms across Zambia, whether you use a smartphone or not.
Step 1: Farmer Registration
Farmers register through our website, WhatsApp, or with support from an Agrosynthiq field officer.
At registration we collect:
- Basic farmer and contact details
- Farm location
- Crops and/or livestock information
- Preferred communication method
This allows us to deliver field-specific and farmer-specific support
Step 2: Farm Mapping (GPS or Google Maps)
Mapping your farm helps us understand exact field boundaries, which is essential for accurate satellite monitoring and advisory services.
Option 1: Google Maps (Self-Mapping)
Farmers with smartphones can map their fields using Google Maps.
How it works:
- Open Google Maps
- Search your farm location or nearest landmark
- Drop a pin on your field
- Use “Measure distance” to trace the farm boundary
- Save or screenshot the mapped field
- Share it with Agrosynthiq via WhatsApp or email
This method is fast and works well for most farms.
Option 2: GPS Mapping (Agrosynthiq Support)
For farmers without smartphones or internet access, our team can visit the farm and map it using GPS devices.
What we do:
- Walk the farm boundary
- Capture accurate GPS coordinates
- Upload the data into our system
- Link the farm to satellite monitoring tools
This ensures no farmer is left out, regardless of technology access.
Step 3: Farm Assessment & Baseline Setup
Once the farm is mapped, we carry out a baseline assessment to understand the current situation of the farm.
What We Assess:
- Crops or livestock being produced
- Farm size and production system
- Soil and land condition
- Climate and environmental risks
- Existing challenges (pests, diseases, low yields, costs)
This information forms the foundation for all recommendations
Step 4: Satellite Monitoring & Data Analysis
After assessment, the farm is enrolled into ongoing satellite monitoring.
We monitor:
- Crop health and growth trends
- Moisture and drought stress
- Field performance consistency
- Early signs of disease or poor growth
- Weather and climate impacts
Satellite data is translated into simple, practical advice, not complex reports.
5: Advisory & Farmer Communication
Agrosynthiq uses all practical communication channels to ensure farmers receive information on time and in a form they understand.
How We Communicate
WhatsApp (messages, images, voice notes)
SMS alerts
Phone calls
Email (for reports and partners)
Physical visits when needed
What We Communicate
- Crop performance updates
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Pest and disease alerts
- Weather and climate warnings
- Recommended actions and timelines
Step 6: Action, Follow-Up & Improvement
Farmers take action based on our recommendations.
We then:
- Monitor progress
- Follow up regularly
- Adjust advice based on results
- Support farmers throughout the season
This creates continuous improvement and better decision-making.
